GRP packer is a hydraulic setting, large-bore retrievable production packer. This design combines the performance of a permanent packer with the convenience of a retrievable packer. The Packer can be threaded directly to the production string or connected with an anchor seal assembly. One-trip setting is accomplished by pressuring up against a plugging device below the packer. Interventionless setting methods, such as control line set, and rupture disc set, are also available. Retrieval on the production string is accomplished by cutting the mandrel with a chemical or mechanical cutting tool. A shear release option is available for medium service applications. GRP packers is suitable for large-bore completions and multi-layer packer-combination completions.
Slips-rubber-slips structure make load-bearing slips separate from the high pressure condition.
Large ID - ID's similar to large bore permanent packer.
High performance - designed to API V0 level.
Multiple retrieval on production tubing - thru-tubing chemical or mechanical cut or shear release.
Retrievable back-up system - patented, field-proven, retrievable, zero extrusion back-up rings.
Positive debris barrier – protects slips from deposits and debris for assured retrieval.
Various setting methods - tubing booster or hydraulic control line setting.
Modular design - packer can be configured with upper sealing bore.
The GRP packer is designed with a maximum pressure capacity of 10,000 psi.
